Buildings that belong
to their landscape.

Meridian Atelier is a boutique studio designing considered residences — homes shaped by light, site and the quiet rituals of daily life.

No. 01Philosophy

We design slowly, deliberately, and only a few homes a year.

Every site carries an argument — about orientation, weather, privacy and view. Our work is to listen to that argument before we draw a single line. The result is architecture that feels inevitable rather than imposed: rooms placed where the sun already wanted them, thresholds that frame the landscape instead of competing with it.

The atelier takes on six commissions each year. That limit is the practice. It allows the founding partners to lead every project personally, from first site walk to final handover.

Interior Architecture

Joinery, materiality and light — the interior resolved with the same rigour as the building envelope.

Landscape Integration

Gardens, courtyards and approaches designed with the house as a single composition, in collaboration with selected landscape architects.

Elena and Tom spent a full day on our land before showing us anything. The house they designed feels like it was always meant to stand there.

The Hargreaves FamilyRidge House

They protected us from our own worst ideas, gently and with evidence. Living here has changed the pace of our days.
